Past his prime and withered with age, an old lord has resorted to reliving his lost youth by regaling others with tales of his adventures. He captivates his audiences with his words, and his proficiency in storytelling becomes as renowned as his martial skills and endless bravery had been during his days as a knight of the realm.

But over time the lord’s mind, touched by age, loneliness, and tedium, beings to wander and into his stories appear elements of the fantastic and the supernatural. His stories of days gone by become falsities of days that never were, and little by little the old lord’s audiences fade until there are none but his faithful servant to listen.

Left with no way to sufficiently ease his restless and intrepid nature, the lord one day decides there is but one thing he can do: seek out adventure and put himself back in the footsteps of his younger self.
